Sauces have a major effect on a bowl.
Even if your pasta is al dente and your meat is cooked to perfection, if your pasta sauce or sipping sauce isn’t up to par, the meal isn’t worth eating.
Slow cooker sauces are ideal because the juices will fall out and the flavors will mix together.
So, the next time you’re craving pasta, give one of these three slow cooker sauces a try!
Salsa A La Crock Pot
- 12 Roma tomatoes
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 4 whole cloves garlic
- 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- Cilantro for garnishing
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
garlic clove should be inserted into each tomato through a small slit. In a crockpot, put the onions first, then the tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper after adding the jalapeno peppers to the pot. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours. Place the tomatoes in a bowl to cool until they’re finished. Remove the skins with care (discard) and mix with the rest of the ingredients in the crockpot in a blender. Blend until the desired consistency is achieved. Until eating, garnish with cilantro.
